If you are concerned about optimal health and peak performance as an athlete or as a weekend warrior, you will want to use functional Testing to set a baseline for improvement.
The EvolveWell Functional Testing Package includes BIA, HRV & DPA and BTA.

Bio-Impedance Analysis (BIA): is a technique used to determine the composition of the body, particularly the body fat levels. This is a simple test that is used to analyze body composition: the relation of body fat to lean body mass. This is a much more valuable test than a body mass index (BMI). Information is also provided on hydration, overall nutritional health, cell membrane health, possible need for detoxification and detection of an altered body mass allows for early detection and prevention of disease.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV): measure the electrical activity of the heart that is controlled by the autonomous nervous system. It measures the tone in the sympathetic nervous system. This is a reflection of a person’s ability to adapt to a stress and the ability to relax, and gives us information on the effect that stress has on an individual.

Digital Pulse Analysis (DPA): provides information on arterial wall stiffness. This Health Canada approved and FDA cleared, user-friendly, non-invasive device that observes the changes in pressure, blood flow, velocity and the profile throughout the pulse wave. The DPA testing builds highly detailed data for assessment in determining potential underlying vascular disease. This is an additional screening test for early atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.

Biological Terrain Analysis (BTA): Is a laboratory test that provides valuable information about the underlying biochemistry of your body. This simple test analyzes small samples of your blood, urine and saliva. It provides data about the current state of the building blocks of your body – your enzymes, amino acids, molecules and electrons. This report will give you a greater understanding of what is going on at deeper levels within your body. Your BTA analysis measures values called pH, redox and resistivity. These values provide a great deal of information, including measurements of the acidity and alkalinity of your body, your propensity towards oxidative stress and the relative concentration of electrically conductive ions. A BTA can help detect the presence of biochemical influences which may create an environment where fungi, viruses and allergic sensitivities to xenobiotics (environmental poisons) may reside.
