Kimberly Shapkin

PhD, RN, NP 

Kimberly Shapkin is a PhD prepared Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in mental health and complex metabolic health conditions, who is dedicated to helping people thrive through life transitions.

With a vision for people to build mental fitness and optimize their metabolic health, Kimberly inspires confidence, balance, and growth so each person can flourish. She practices and teaches lifestyle medicine, using the six pillars of health, which includes, nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, meaningful connections, and avoidance of risky substances, to help restore health, build resilience, and create lasting well being.

Alongside her clinical practice, Kimberly is an active researcher and educator, focusing on decision-making affecting people and their families living with chronic illness and neurocognitive conditions, peer mentorship, personal leadership and entrepreneurial thinking. Through her integrative, evidence-based approaches, Kimberly helps individuals navigate life’s transitions with greater resilience, purpose, and well-being. Kimberly’s areas of practice include enhancing hormone health, weight management, ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation and optimizing brain health. She is a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Registered Nurses and is a member of The Menopause Society (The North American Menopause Society).
